I am trying to get an insulin pump for my SO. Aster hospital mentioned that the pump costs upto 20K AED and advised to contact American hospital. American Hospital is charging 700dh just for consultation and her insurance doesn't cover that hospital, but the nurse there told me over the phone that it costs approx 30K AED with them. So, I am looking for some info about Insulin pumps or reliable and economic hospitals.

I also have the option of getting it from my home country (India). It costs approx 25K AED there for the latest model Medtronics pump. I don't want to travel to India to get the pump if it is going to cost the same in Dubai. Any info related to Insulin pumps is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

PS: Getting the pump covered by her insurance in Dubai is out of the question, as they will try to recover the cost from the premium from next year. I would prefer to pay it and get it without involving insurance. I don't even think the insurance (NAS) would cover it anyway.
