Blossom’s mantra is to “believe, achieve, become” and emphasizes children’s character development. We are an inclusive nursery welcoming children from all over the world, who speak many languages, are differently “abled” and have been exposed to a myriad of experiences that makes us a centre of rich diversity.
Skygarden Sensory Learning
We use the British Foundation EYFS Curriculum complimented by our own skygarden approach to focus on learning through multi-sensory experiences with particular attention given to early communication and literacy skills.
Parent Communication
Our Smartbook™ parent interaction program ensures parents are kept informed of activities and learning done whilst at school through our daily baby diaries and weekly smartbook reports, emailed newsletters, individual detailed profiles, baseline assessments and reports with parent-teacher days. We have an open door policy and parents are frequently invited to attend seminars, school shows and activities.
Healthy Bites
Healthy snacks and freshly prepared hot lunches are included at many of our centres for children. Encouraging children to eat together helps them to develop healthy dietary habits and understand the practice of good eating. We teach children about the Balance of Health and the Food Pyramid, we serve Skyjuice (a.k.a. water) and even have our own cooking classes where children make cupcakes, fruit kebabs, mini pizzas and orange juice!
Our healthy menu contains minimal salt and sugar, no fried foods and consists of recipes from “Annabel Karmel,” “Jamie Oliver,” “The Sneaky Chef” and “Immunity Foods for Children” among many others. We have a weekly “clean fridge” policy; municipality approved kitchens and include fresh, seasonal produce as part of the eating and learning.
Flexible Timings
Blossom is open All Year with up to 50 weeks of care. Our Peak Nursery is from 8am- 1pm and we also have Pick up options of 1pm, 3pm, 5pm or 6pm. There is an Earlybird start available at 7:30am with the option of Breakfast Express. Skillplay™ afternoons from 2:30pm-6pm are filled with programs that incorporate creative dance, cooking, drama, music, sport, waterplay and computers.
Blossom caters to working parents and we wish to ensure that children who remain with us all day are getting the best of care available. We have cotbeds at each centre so children can rest comfortably without having to nap on floors as well as a combination of high activity and soothing play to ensure children are given the room to relax as well as the ability to enrich themselves.
Safety is Our Priority
At Blossom we understand that you trust us with your children and we take this responsibility very seriously. We have CCTV across our centres, a double entry gate system and have ensured that there are several fire and emergency exits along with extensive training and visual indicators that ensure safe movement. We also have a full-time nurse at each centre and over 80% of our staff is paediatric first aid trained and certified. The cleaning supplies we use do not contain harsh chemicals and are often derived from natural ingredients.
