Debt Collection

I have a question that I hope find some answers to. </p> <p>If you have debt (credit cards and/or loans) and you left the country, will banks be able to do anything legal to you in your home country? I know about some UAE banks made agreements with offices outside as debt collectors, but will they able to do anything legal outside UAE? </p> <p>Thanks in advance.
