Flying to XNB

I've got someone flying to Dubai to the Etihad Bus Station XNB.

Question.. can I go ahead and pick them up from Abu Dhabi and can they exit from the Abu Dhabi airport or do they HAVE to come till the Etihad Bus Depot?
