problems faced by styling wax

Ever since i moved here i have been consistently having trouble with the hair styling wax. No issues in my home at all. But here, no matter what brand i used I can never wash it out completely. This is especially troublesome when someone wants to run their hands through my stylish hair. Is there an issue with the water or can you recommend a brand that washes out easily? I want to look my very handsomest but at what cost can i bare any further..
