Question about visa status + renting a flat

I will be moving from Abu Dhabi to Dubai next month. My visa is a residence visa sponsored by my employer. It won&#39;t be cancelled for another month or so but before it is cancelled I want to rent a flat in Dubai and get everything sorted out. I will be starting a new job in Dubai in April.</p> <p>Is it possible to rent a flat, get DEWA set up, and do anything else flat-related I need to do (ejari?) while I&#39;m on an AD visa?</p> <p>Sorry if this is a stupid question but I have only ever lived in AD and this move came about very quickly.
