I'm in the process integrating a billing system for our SaaS product. Planning to go with Stripe. I was all excited about the possibility that people around the world could buy our product, until I remembered "taxes". I'm not expecting a lot of revenue, and if I have to file taxes in each country, my accounting expenses might exceed my revenue. I have a couple of questions: 1. Do I need to file taxes in different countries for a digital product (company based in the US)? 2. How do you approach this? Is there a product that automatically files or withholds taxes? [For example, I'm guessing that the App Store automatically deducts taxes before paying the developer.]
Thanks for the help!
Edit: To further clarify, I'm referring to this situation: When an international customer, say in UK, subscribe to our (US based) SaaS digital product, I'm guessing that we will have to pay a tax to the UK govt. How do you manage that process, if you have a low number of customers from a large number of countries?
