2nd, Now, I know why my mom keeps very old receipts for a simple reason if anything happens to your item and the shop denies fixing it SIMPLY they can and Consumer Rights have no power to request or investigate the issue if you don’t have the receipts and they can’t request the shop to look into their POS systems.
It happened to me with a shop called “Allo Genius” in dubai marina Mall when they fixed my iPhone screen but broke the processor (which means the phone is no longer in use, I have checked with Apple and few other shops). Long story short, I didn’t keep a copy and the manager found my item receipt in his system and refused to do anything to me and insisted I got and complain because I don’t have hard copy with me and he stated this.
Don’t deal with this shop and always keep a copy somewhere.
