Early in Minguo, Master Jiang Hualong who was proficient at Mantis, master Wang Zongqing who was skillful at Bagua and master Chen Shande who was versed at Xingyi& Tongbei worked together, eventually created a new kind of Mantis Fist Form. Its basic movements contain eight positions and steps. So master Jiang Hualong named it as Eight step praying Mantis.
